Résumé	It is estimated that Catholic health care organizations in the United States dispose of 600,000 tons of medical surplus annually. Often these surplus materials are deposited into landfills or donated without appropriate steps to ensure they can be used properly. Such disposal costs health care organizations and can have a negative impact on the environment. This surplus includes supplies that have not yet expired and equipment that is still in working order which could be used to provide health and healing to those in need throughout the world.
